How to add slideshow in blogger

  • Hi guys, someone has asked me how to add slideshow in blogger a while ago. Therefore, now I want to share my answer to anyone who can visit my blog. This tip is not too hard, so I would expect that you can get to know how to add slideshow in your own blog easily. All right, let's do these steps:

    1.  Go to Google Picasa (you probably have a google account, don't you?)
    2. Upload your photo into a album that you want to make it as a slide show in your blog posts
    3. After you have uploaded your photos into a specific album, click on the album
    4. Click on " Link to this album " (located in the right hand side)
    5.  Click on " Embed Slideshow "
    6. Copy the code in the yellow box.
    7. Now, you've already have the code, Go to create a new post
    8. Paste the code into the content box where you want your slideshow to be displayed
    9. Click on Preview to check the result, then Click on Save or Publish.
    You're done
Note: You can place your slideshow anywhere in your blog by copying the slideshow code into a Gadget.

You can go back to Blog on Blogspot home page to get the latest tips

You are the one. Thank you. It took me a lot of searching to find the right way to add a slideshow. It's very simple now, yet you are the only one who explained it correctly. No one else mentions to click on "Link to this Album" and then "Embeded Slideshow". I created a link to this site on my blog. Thank you. JC

When I paste the code in my blog post, it displays as html code only and the slideshow doesn't appear. Should I be doing something else?

    Found this article useful thanks.

I found Picasa animations a little limited though.

Perhaps take a look at www.loxiastudio.com/en/

It's a site where you can create photo slideshows/animations (15 different designs!) and them integrate them straight into your site.

There is even a specific tutorial for putting an animation on your blogger site:

There's no 'link to this album' option, just 'RSS'.

Can you add captions to these photos as well, so that people can read about them while they scroll? Please tell me how.

you have to change the visibility of your album from "only you" to "limited, anyone with the link". first, click your album, click "edit" (located on right hand side) just above the RSS, beside the album cover. i hope this is helping. :D

The is no "link to this album" because your pictures are private and only you can see them. Go to Actions-Album propereties and change the visibility to "Public on the web". The "link to this album" button will appear.

Is it possible to have the series of pictures repeat instead of stopping after showing the last one? Is there anything we can add to the coding to have it repeat? Thank you.
